The Real Estate Institute of Australia (REIA) has announced the appointment of its new Chief Executive Officer, Mr Neil Fisher. Mr Fisher was appointed after an extensive nationwide selection process and REIA President Noel Dyett has welcomed his appointment.
“Neil Fisher is highly regarded for his capacity to establish and develop alliances and build relationships with government and strategic partners, which will be very important to his future involvement with the State and Territory Real Estate Institutes that combine to form the REIA” Mr Dyett said.
Mr Fisher said ”I look forward to working with the Board and the State and Territory Institutes in providing the strategic leadership to address issues like housing affordability, taxation review/reform, mutual recognition/national consistency in training and licensing and adding value for REIA members”.
Mr Dyett said, ”As a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Neil Fisher has extensive experience in corporate governance, financial management, administration and communication and we look forward to his commencement with REIA”.
Mr Fisher recently announced his resignation as the CEO of the Australian Plantation and Paper Industry Council (A3P) and is a former Board member and CEO of Plant Health Australia Limited and Executive Director of the Grains Council of Australia.
Mr Fisher will take up his appointment as soon as his term with A3P is completed.
