Lend Lease Corporation Limited (“Lend Lease”) today announced that its subsidiary, Bovis Lend Lease Limited (“Bovis Lend Lease”), has been appointed Managing Contractor by the Department of Finance and Deregulation for the design and construction of a new central office building for the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation.

The value of the contract is A$527 million and Bovis Lend Lease will be responsible for the design and construction of the largest component of the A$606 million project.

The project comprises a new commercial office building and integrated tenancy fitout. It will occupy a prestigious, high-profile site, located within the National Triangle in the Parliament House Vista. Bovis Lend Lease has been involved with the project since August 2007, acting as Managing Contractor for the planning phase.

Bovis Lend Lease will work in partnership with the client and the design team to deliver a sustainable development that will offer a high level of security and protection for organisational activities and the tenant’s employees.

Tony Costantino, CEO of Bovis Lend Lease Australia, said: “This will be a building of immense importance to the national interest and Bovis Lend Lease is proud to be involved with the project. We have an excellent track record in delivering significant Commonwealth Government projects and we look forward to bringing our expertise to this project.”

The company was responsible for managing the construction and integrated fitout of the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet offices at One National Circuit, was the lead construction contractor for the new headquarters of the Australian Taxation
Office, and is currently project managing and constructing the Department of the Attorney-General office building at 3-5 National Circuit.

Construction on the new central office building is expected to start in mid-2009 with the building scheduled for occupancy in late 2012.
